My dear Sir

I am very much obliged for the Proofs, which have interested me greatly.2 I cannot for a moment pretend to form any judgment, but your view seems to me very ingenious; if accepted it will be a most satisfactory & great step in our knowledge of glacier-movements

In Haste | Your’s very sincerely | Ch. Darwin
