To T. H. Huxley   6 February [1862]1

Down

Feb. 6th

My dear Huxley

I return by this Post “The Week” which I have been glad to see.2

I entirely agree with all that you say in your published Letter on its excellent spirit. The writer must be a good man, whether as good a Logician as he thinks himself we at least shall doubt.

Ever yours | C. Darwin

Footnotes

The year is established by the reference to the Week, and by the relationship to the letter to T. H. Huxley, 2 February [1862].

Summary

Returns "The Week" [unidentified].

Agrees with THH’s published letter that writer is a man of excellent spirit, but doubts he is a good logician.
