Louisa Sarah Bevington

1845–95

Poet and anarchist. Interested in evolutionism from an early age; became a friend of Herbert Spencer. Published poetry and essays questioning religion and its moral authority. Married the Munich artist Ignatz Felix Guggenberger in 1883, but by the early 1890s returned alone to London, where she became an active member of the anarchist movement.
