Jacques-Julien Houtou de Labillardière
1755–1834
French botanist. Studied medicine at Montpellier and Reims. Travelled in Britain and the Middle East. Naturalist on the d’Entrecasteaux expedition to the south Pacific. Produced the first general flora of Australia.
