Heinrich Brockhaus
1804–74
German publisher. Son of Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus, the founder of the Leipzig publishing firm F. A. Brockhaus Verlag, which he took over with his brother Friedrich Brockhaus after their father’s death in 1823. After his brother’s death in 1864, became head of the firm.
