Anne Walbank Buckland

1832–99

Anthropologist. One of the first women to join the Anthropological Society of Great Britain and Ireland after membership was opened to women in 1875. Published a collection of essays, Anthropological studies (1891). Awarded a civil list pension a few years before her death.
