Christine Nilsson
1843–1921
Swedish soprano. Studied in Stockholm and Paris. Made her London début in 1864, sang at Covent Garden in 1869 and Drury Lane in 1870. Embarked on a tour of the US in 1870. Later visited St Petersburg, Moscow, Brussels, Vienna, and Munich.
