Henry Lane Kendrick
1811–91
American soldier and scientist. Assistant professor of chemistry, mineralogy, and geology at the US Military Academy, West Point, 1835–8; principal assistant professor, 1838–47; captain in the second artillery, 1846–57; professor, 1857–80. Served in the Mexican–American war (1846–8).
