Irish stockbreeder. Farmed at Westland, Moynalty, County Meath, Ireland. Leading breeder of shorthorn cattle in Ireland; successfully imported prize heifers from John Booth of Killerby, near Darlington, England, in 1844. Contributed articles on the dangers of close breeding and crossing to the Agricultural Gazette from 1854.
