Clergyman. MA, University of Glasgow, 1834. Unitarian minister at the Octagon in Norwich, 1839–52. Founder and minister of the Free Christian Church. President of the Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists’ Society, 1869–71. Joined the Church of England, 1875. Curate of St Mary-at-Coslany with St Michael-at-Pleas, Norwich, 1872–6; rector of St Lawrence, Norwich, from 1876.
