Nurseryman and florist. Studied horticulture at Kew Gardens until 1876. At the Grove Nursery, Tooting Grove, Surrey, 1881. At Sandy Lane Nursery, 53 Sandy Lane, Chester, 1891, 1901. At Dee Banks, Chester, 1911. An Old Kewite until at least 1926.
