Adolf Reuter

German horticulturist. Studied horticulture in the Prussian royal botanic gardens at Sanssouci and Berlin from 1843; Liege, Ghent, Paris, and Kew, 1850–4. Planteur in the royal nursery, Sanssouci, 1854; inspector, 1865; head gardener, 1866. Head court gardener, 1894.
