Theodor Piderit
1826–1912
German writer and physician. MD, Heidelberg, 1849. Practised medicine in Valparaiso, Chile, 1850–8. Travelled widely in North and South America before returning in 1863 to Germany, where he became a writer. Wrote on the psychology of physiognomy.
