Marion Bell (1811–1876)
1787–1876
Daughter of Charles Shaw of Ayr. Married Charles Bell in 1811. Following the death of her husband in 1842, lived with her brother, Alexander Shaw; their house became a centre of literary and scientific society. Published her husband’s letters in 1870.
