Susan Ridley Sedgwick Norton
1838–72
Daughter of Sara Ashburner and the American legal theorist Theodore Sedgwick. Grew up in New York and Massachusetts. Married Charles Eliot Norton in 1862. Died in Dresden, Germany, after giving birth to her sixth child.
