Otto Carl Alfred (Alfred) Moschkau

1848–1912

German philatelist and author. Exhibited the largest collection of German stamps in Germany at that time in Dresden and founded the Association of German Philatelists, 1871. Doctorate, Leipzig, 1873. Editor and publisher of philatelic, homoeopathic, and regional journals. Founded the International Association of Philatelists, 1877. Founded a regional museum in Oybin Castle, 1879. Edited several handbooks on philately and promoted local tourism.
