Caroline Honoria Morris (1840–1873)

Composer. Née Campbell. Born in Gibraltar. Composed songs with piano accompaniment. Music mistress to Princess Augusta. Married James Morris in 1840. Lived in Mauritius from 1844 to 1849. Following her husband’s death in 1869, she took over as agent for the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences of Mauritius.
