Clergyman and natural philosopher. Interested in crystallography and mineralogy. Lecturer in natural philosophy, St Bartholomew’s Hospital; vicar of St Bartholomew’s-the-less, 1861–9; hospitaller, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, 1846–69. Reader at Christ Church, Newgate Street, London, 1846–69. Vicar of Purton, Wiltshire, 1871.
