Adolf Bernhard Meyer

1840–1911

German zoologist, anthropologist, and museum director. Trained as a physician in Berlin. Travelled extensively in the Eastern Archipelago, publishing on the birds of the Celebes. Director, Royal Museum of Zoology, Anthropology, and Ethnography in Dresden, from 1874.
