Mary Ann Meek

1817–75

Schoolteacher. Daughter of Thomas William Smith Meek and his wife Ann of Betley, Staffordshire. Sister of Jane, wife of George Dulin, one of CD’s copyists. Lived on the Wirral in Cheshire. School inspector with her mother, sister Margaret Grantham and brother-in-law Wilkinson Grantham in Birkenhead, 1851; schoolteacher with her now widowed sister, also a schoolteacher, and niece Ellen Evelyn Dulin in Higher Bebington, 1861; schoolteacher with her sister and aunt in Tranmere, 1871.
