Johann Karl August (Karl) Müller
1818–99
German pharmacist, writer, and bryologist. Practiced pharmacy in various parts of Germany until 1843 and then maintained himself chiefly as a freelance writer. Studied at the University of Halle, 1843–6. Assistant editor, Botanische Zeitung, 1843. Co-founder of the popular journal Die Natur, 1852.
