Alexis Giraud-Teulon’s book on the origins of the family (Giraud-Teulon 1874), inscribed to CD from the author, is in the Darwin Library–CUL.
McLennan had corresponded with CD about the publication of a new edition of his work Primitive marriage (McLennan 1865); see letter from J. F. McLennan, 13 May 1874.
