March 23d

Dear Sir

I feel greatly obliged by your offer, but I really have not the least claim on your kindness, & I would suggest that you wd. do better to present an additional copy to some one who attends more to Physics than I am able to do.—

I beg you, however, not to think that I am in the least less obliged by your offer, for declining it.

I remain, Dear Sir | Yours faithfully & obliged | Ch Darwin
