From John Lindley [after 8 April 1843]
Acton Green
Sunday
Dr Sir
I shall be happy to give you hereafter some report concerning the seeds you have sent me; and I will take care that no information r⟨elat⟩ing to them shall find its way into circulation through my agents.
I however do not anticipate much novelty from these seeds for one is certainly a Polygonum, and the other in all probability a Chenopodium; both of which might probably be identified with common species if I had the time for the investigation.
Pray believe me | Yours faithfully | John Lindley
Summary
Will be happy to report on seeds sent by CD. Suggests names.
