From J. J. Moulinié 6 March [1868]1
Geneva
6th March,
Dear sir,
I just receive notice from Mr. Reinwald that the first volume of the french translation will be ready and given out next week for the latest, the second will follow as quickly as the activity of the printer will permit, for the MSS. is quite ready and at his disposal.2
On receipt of the corrected sheets you sent me last,3 I forwarded immediately to Paris, the three important additions of the eleventh chapter, hoping that owing to their position in the volume, they could still arrive in time to be inserted in their proper place; Dr. Hildebrand’s case, page 396; that to Note 126, and that of Dr. Bowerbanks;—4 I am happy to inform you that in fact they did come in time, the last sheets of the volume though ready, not having then been yet printed off.
As for the other corrections and additions happily of less importance, they will be given as Errata.5
Allow me, Sir, to renew my sincere thanks for the kindness with which you have granted me the right of making known to foreign science, your most interesting and valuable work, an honour of which I hope not to have shown myself too unworthy.
I remain, Dear Sir, | your’s gratefully and respectfully | J. J. Moulinié
