P.S.2 If you are on Council of Linn. Soc. do consider whether it is necessary to be so much stricter about Books than the other Societies.3 Now I have six books which I must refer to; & this will take me 3 weeks to do, & will cost me paying carriage three times up to London & 3 times back;—& I wish only to glance over a short paper in each case.—
Royal allows 4 Books.—. Geolog. I think, 6 Books.4
