Darwin Correspondence Project

To John Murray   2 September [1859]

Down Bromley Kent

Sept 2d.—

My dear Sir

I am quite delighted at all you say & propose.—

Pray send the sheets to Lyell. Unfortunately the part most likely to be interesting to him is not ready.—

Up to p. 240 is completed: could not 3 following sheets be sent, they only want another glance by me, as they have been revised once. One copy of my two copies of the 2d Revises of these 3 sheets could be sent.—

With hearty thanks | In Haste to catch Post.— | Yours very sincerely | C. Darwin

Summary

Delighted with JM’s suggestions. Asks JM to send sheets to Lyell.
