March 26th

My dear Sir

I am quite ashamed of myself for having forgotten to return the Greenland Catalogue (which I have been very glad to see) before this time.—2 I now send it by this days post, & with my thanks

Yours very sincerely | C. Darwin

The year is the first in which CD could refer to having borrowed Lange 1857 (see n. 2, below).
Lange 1857 is a list of Greenland plants. CD had inquired about this catalogue in 1857 (see Correspondence vol. 6, letter to J. D. Hooker, [June 1857]).

Correspondence: The correspondence of Charles Darwin. Edited by Frederick Burkhardt et al. 29 vols to date. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. 1985–.

Lange, Johan Martin Christian. 1857. Oversigt over Graennlands planter. Vol. 2, Appendix 6, pp. 106–35, of Rink, Hinrich Johannes, Grae9nnland, geographisk og statistik beskrevet. 2 vols. Copenhagen.

Returns the Greenland catalogue, which he has kept too long.
