Darwin Correspondence Project

To the Royal Society   19 March 1855

[Down]

I am of opinion that Mr. Horner’s Account of the researches made in the alluvial deposits of Ægypt, should be printed in the Philosophical Transactions,1 as the means of permanently recording valuable observations; and which observations probably will become in future times of still higher value.—

Charles Darwin Down  March 19th. 1855.
