Heinrich Ludwig Hermann Müller (Müller, Hermann)
German botanist and entomologist. Schoolteacher in Schwerin, 1854–5. Studied blind cave insects in Krain, 1855. Teacher of natural sciences at the Realschule in Lippstadt, 1855–83; professor, 1883. After settling in Lippstadt, studied the local flora, in particular the mosses. CD's Orchids directed Müller's attention to the pollination and fertilisation of flowers, on which he published several papers and books.
