Darwin Correspondence Project

 French clergyman , naturalist and traveller . Collaborated with Lamarck on the botanical dictionary of the Encyclopédie. Taught natural history at the Ecole Centrale de l’Aisne. Lived in Paris after 1806, publishing chiefly botanical works.
