Clergyman. BA, Peterhouse, Cambridge, 1829. MA, Lambeth, 1849. Appointed colonial chaplain, Colombo, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), 1834. Also appointed chaplain at Trincomalee, and at Kandy, at various times from 1840; returned to Trincomalee in 1851. Retired on pension, 1871. Fellow of the Linnean Society of London, 1863–73.
