Buckland refers to The seventh annual report of the inspectors of salmon fisheries (England and Wales) (Buckland and Walpole 1868), and to Spencer Walpole. The enclosure has not been found.
In his letter of 27 February 1868, Buckland had promised CD a copy of his ‘official report on “Close seasons’”. See Buckland and Walpole 1868, pp. 52–3.
