To Francis Darwin [6 November 1871]1
Leith Hill Place | Wotton, Dorking
My dear F.
Who is Fiske & what is his address.? Is he Professor? The articles seem very good & so fair & in some aspects so complimentary that I think I ought to write a line.2 I imagine he is young.— We stay here till Friday morning so write here if you can. —
Yours affecty | C. Darwin
Asks who Fiske is. The articles [Harvard lectures?] are "so fair and in some respects so complimentary" that CD thinks he should write to him. [See 8058.]
