[A note, describing abortive pistils in the flowers of Veratrum nigrum. CD has added in ink ‘Don says is [‘s’ over ‘n’] Polygamia!!!’2.]

A mistake for James Donn. Donn 1823 classifies Veratrum nigrum under Polygamia, the Linnean class of plants that have male, female, and hermaphrodite flowers on the same or different individuals.
