One of my correspondents in Australia writes me as follows in answer to the questions you propounded.1 I enclose you the extract from his letter to shew you that the matter has not been neglected.

CD had sent Wilson a list of queries about the expression of the emotions; see Correspondence vol. 15, letter from Edward Wilson, 8 November 1867. For CD’s printed list of queries, drawn up in late 1867 or early 1868, see Correspondence vol. 16, Appendix V. The enclosure has not been found.
