My Dear Sir

Your two parcels of MS. reached me on Saty night with your instructions2   I was very glad to receive them but they arrive just at the beginning of Xmas Holidays & no real work can be got out of the Printers before Thursday next. This will account for a little delay—but proceedings shall be taken in earnest when once begin & we will endeavour to make up for lost time—

Permit me to wish you the Comps of the Season & to remain My Dear Sir | yours very faithfully | John Murray
