To W. H. Flower 11 April 1878
Down, | Beckenham, Kent. | (Railway Station | Orpington. S.E.R.)
April 11th 1878
My dear Flower
Pray forgive me for asking whether you have ever found time to look at the wing-bones of the goose with malformed wings.—1 I thought that I would wait until hearing from you, before writing to Mr. Blair to thank him for the photograph, specimen &c; & I fear that he will think me very neglectful for not having done so ere this.2
Whenever you write; will you kindly return me Mr Blair’s letter, & if it seems worth while I will send a short account of case to Nature3
Forgive me for troubling you & believe me | Yours very sincerely | C. Darwin
