Mother of Catharine and Emily Thorley, governesses to the Darwin family. Daughter of Thomas and Ann Woodward of Marylebone, London. Married John Thorley (1805/6–34), a solicitor of Tarporley, Cheshire, in 1828. Friend of the Tollet family. Residing at 36 Bernard Street, Russell Square, London, in 1851.
