Karl Ludwig Valentin (Valentin) Salzmann
1821–90
German physician. General practitioner in Esslingen near Stuttgart from 1847; founder of the Schwäbischer Albverein, a Swabian hiking society dedicated to the conservation and beautification of the Swabian countryside.
