Wilhelm Ludwig von Rapp
1794–1868
Physician and naturalist. Practised medicine in Stuttgart, 1818–19. Extraordinary professor of anatomy, Tübingen, 1819–28; ordinary professor from 1828. Also taught zoology and undertook scientific journeys throughout Europe, publishing the results of his studies. Retired from academic teaching in 1858 and practised as a physician until his death.
