Charles Wentworth Dilke, Jr, 1st baronet
1810–69
Magistrate and politician. Son of Charles Wentworth Dilke, 1789–1864 (ODNB). Served on the executive committee of the Great Exhibition. MP for Wallingford, 1865–8. Magistrate for Westminster and Middlesex. Vice-president of the Royal Horticultural Society. Founder of the Gardeners’ Chronicle. Created baronet, 1862.
