3 fine seeds valuable to me (I am glad to hear about about sticky fluid in curled edges)
Do not take much trouble about counting leaves with insects, but if you do I shd like to hear result—2

The year is established by the relationship between this letter and the letter from W. C. Marshall, 30 August [1874]. It is written in pencil on the verso of the last page of that letter.
Marshall had sent CD specimens of Pinguicula (butterwort) with attached seeds and an offer of making further observations (see letter from W. C. Marshall, 30 August [1874].
Summary
Glad to hear about sticky fluid on leaves. WCM need not bother to count leaves.
