Darwin Correspondence Project

To Ernst Haeckel   26 June [1881]

[Glenridding House, Patterdale.]

June 26th.—

My mind was so full of the Ceylon affair that I quite forgot to thank you about the microscope, which my son finds excellent.—1 When next you see Prof. Abbe, I hope that you will give him my best thanks for his great kindness.—2

C. Darwin
