To Henry Lee   26 November 1871

Down, | Beckenham, Kent.

Nov 26 1871

My dear Sir

I am much obliged for your very kind note, the interesting notice, & the photograph.1 You have made, I think, a little mistake about the Lepas. It is the L. Australis, which is confined, as far as I know, to the S. Hemisphere. The L. Hillii is found all over the world, as you will see in my monograph on the Lepadidae.2

My dear Sir | yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin
