My dear Sir,
I beg to thank you for your kind letter;2 I should much like to have been able to accede to your proposal but my duties here forbid my availing myself of them: for I not only have a botanical class every Saty. evening, but am engaged every Sunday at St Stephens Westr. so that I could not possible go to Down on a Saturday:3 so that if still agreeable to you I will come on April 2.4
