Darwin Correspondence Project

To Richard Kippist   6 May [1864]

Down Bromley Kent

May 6th

My dear Sir

I enclose a paper by Mr J. Scott, which it seems to me is well worth communicating to the Linn. Socy.—1 It will be dry to read aloud, but the facts seem to me very curious.—2

My dear Sir | Yours very sincerely | Ch. Darwin

Footnotes

The reference is to the manuscript of Scott 1864b. John Scott sent the manuscript with his letter to CD of 5 May [1864]. Scott’s paper was read before the Linnean Society on 2 June 1864.
