Dear Sir,

At the Private Conference, held by His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, at Lambeth Palace, on 7th inst., the following Resolution was passed unanimously:—

“That it is desirable that th⁠⟨⁠o⁠⟩⁠se Scientific men who believe in the truths of Religion, should take every fitting opportunity of stating that belief; and that the following be appointed a Committee, with power to add to their number, for the purpose of maintaining communication amongst those desirous of promoting this object:— His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, Prof. Stokes, Prof. Balfour Stewart, Dr. Sorby, Prof. Rolleston, Dr. Gladstone and Prof. McKendrick; Hon. Sec., Mr. Walter Browne.”²

It was suggested that such expressions of opinion might preferably take the form of articles to be published through the periodical press;³ and I shall be greatly obliged by any suggestions as to writers or subjects for such articles.
