Dear Sir

Prof. Victor Carus wishes to translate into German my volume on “Volcanic Islands” & that on “S. America”. He says that he cannot procure a copy; but I remember you telling me about a year ago, that you had plenty of copies.— Will you be so kind as to inform me whether you have a copy of each so that I may inform Herr. Koch, the publisher.—2

Begging that you will excuse my troubling you I remain | Dear Sir | Yours very faithfully | Ch. Darwin
